ELECTION '08--A FALSE HOPE?

ELECTION '08--A FALSE HOPE?

I just can't believe how the wool is being pulled over the eyes of America every day in an election year.  One of the most insufferable wastes of time and money is the party convention of either of the major parties.  All of the Demolicans (yes, I bunch the Dems and Reps together as one unit because there's NO difference between the two) are nothing but career BS artists whose sole job is making sure they rake in the bucks.

There will be NO "change" of any kind in America until someone who is NOT a rich Demolican is voted in.  Me, I'm running for President because I actually WANT to change the way government works so every American has the same chance to have a home, a job, and affordable health care.  My whole agenda can be found on my Web Site HERE, a site that didn't cost me one taxpayer's penny to create or run.  I intend to prove that if a person has the right ideas to run the country, he doesn't need to spend millions of dollars to steal the job away.

It stinks to high heaven that a man or woman would spend hundreds of millions of dollars to get a job that at the most will pay him/her (if they get 2 terms) less than $4 million.  My vision for running the country is vastly different from that of any Demolican, and that scares them silly.  In 2004, they made sure my name didn't show up on any ballot, even in places where I had enough signatures to be added, and that's happening again this year, so now I'm taking a different approach.

I'm telling people right off the bat that when you go to vote in November, demand your right to get a WRITTEN ballot that will enable you to vote for anyone, not just the two zombies that we are being brainwashed into thinking are our only choices.  Take that written ballot and fill in "Chief Jack" for President, like over 36,000 people did in 2004.  Vote for the ONLY candidate who actually tells you on his Web Site how the changes we need to enact to save America will be paid for.  You won't find anything like that on Obama's site or McCain's.

Can we trust America to a man who doesn't even know how many homes he owns?  Worse yet, Obama's VP choice, Sen. Biden, endorses the legislature that will kill Internet radio, so if you listen to my show or any other Internet radio, Biden is your enemy, therefore so is Obama by association.

Don't pin America's future on false hopes--vote Chief Jack for President in 2008.  I will bring our troops home from the illegal wars in the Middle East, bring you affordable housing and medical costs, and outlaw offshore outsourcing.

AUTO TASTES ARE CHANGING

AUTO TASTES ARE CHANGING

There's no doubt that American tastes in cars and trucks are changing, due mostly to the price of gas.  Those of you old enough to remember the dubious "gas shortages" of the 1970s will also recall how less available gas meant the desire for smaller, more economical vehicles.

Back then, as is the case today, America was unequal to the challenge, so foreign nameplates, especially Toyota and Honda, made tremendous gains, knocking U.S. cars out of the lead in sales.  Then as gas supplies returned to normal, all was forgotten and America again started buying large vehicles, especially the so-called SUVs.  Know what an SUV is?  It's a truck, and the name stems from the fact that some people are ashamed to say they own a truck, so they came up with a new name to give their ride "status".

Now, with gas prices (don't be fooled by the current lull in price hikes) heading for $5 a gallon, people are ditching their trucks like crazy, mostly for, once again, Asian economy cars and small trucks.  Look at any used car lot (and even a lot of new car lots) and you'll see almost nothing but large trucks for sale.

The new star of auto sales is KIA, whose sales are up over 60% from last year.  KIA is now owned by Hyundai, whose sales are also up over last year.  Not far behind KIA is the Toyota Prius, still the most sought-after car.  The Prius, of course, is a hybrid, and Toyota is fighting an uphill battle to make enough of them to meet demand.  No doubt a lot of would-be Prius buyers are latching onto KIAs rather than wait several months for a Prius.

How desperate are the "Big 3" to sell off their overstock of large trucks?  Chrysler, for example, is offering up to 40% off the regular price.  Still, few people are taking the bait, made wary by the greed of Big Oil.
